Sonia Ruiz threatened to accuse the victim of extramarital relations to his wife, if he did not make monthly blackmail payments to Ruiz in exchange for her silence. [See here extortion texts, April 27, 2023.] Ruiz stalked and threatened the victim for 8 months, April-Dec 2023 and filed multiple false charges with the NYPD 107 Precinct accusing the victim of stalking and threatening her. When the victim continued declining to make the payments she was demanding, Sonia Ruiz sent obscene, threatening and disturbing sexually perverse messages and calls to the victim's wife and youngest daughter on December 22, 2023.
Sonia Ruiz was arrested January 8, 2024, Queens County, NY, while attempting to file new false charges against the victim in NYPD 107 Precinct. Sonia Ruiz (DOB April 1984) was charged with: Felony attempted Extortion Grand Larceny 4th Degree & Coercion 3rd Degree, (File Index No. CR-001762-24QN ) Queens County Criminal Court.
